Program Menus
File
Open Open a memory file.
Save Save the currently loaded memory image to disk; uses the existing filename and does not ask for permission to overwrite. If no filename is currently assigned then the action is as for Save As.
Save as Save the currently loaded memory image to disk; asks for a name before saving; asks for permission to overwrite an existing file.
Print Produce a print of the memories on the default printer.
Save current grid as a TAB file Saves the currently active grid as a .TAB file.
Exit End the program
Memories Note: The Memories menu is also shown as a pop-up by right-clicking on the memories grid.
Undo Undo the last editing operation
Copy (and memories) Copy the selected cells to the Windows clipboard for pasting into another program, and also note the currently selected memory numbers ready for a paste operation in the memories grid. When the paste operation is done, either in the memories grid or another program, the originally selected memories are left alone.
Cut memories Copy the selected cells to the Windows clipboard for pasting into another program, and also note the currently selected memory numbers ready for a paste operation in the memories grid. If the paste operation is done in the memories grid the originally selected memories are made Empty. If the paste operation is done in another program the originally selected memories are left alone.
Paste memories Paste copies of the originally selected memory numbers into the memories grid.
Insert memory above Insert a new memory above the one selected
Move selected memories Up The selected memories are moved up one position in the grid (shortcut F11)
Move selected memories Down The selected memories are moved down one position in the grid (shortcut F12)
Fill selection downwards Fills the top cells of a selected block downwards into the remainder of the selected cells.
Remove memory The selected memories are deleted and the subsequent memories moved up.
Delete memory The selected memories are made empty
Compact empty memories All Empty memories are moved to the end of the grid.
Hide empty memories Toggle on/off the display of Empty memories. The setting is not preserved across program invocations.
List non-achievable frequencies Lists the memory frequencies that are not achievable on the radio e.g. a frequency ending in .00833 is valid for air band but not valid on the other bands, or a frequency ending with 5kHz is invalid in the 800MHz band but valid in most other bands. The program still allows these non-achievable frequencies and the radio will get as close as possible. Where necessary the tuning step will be adjusted to be a multiple of the frequency. This adjustment is also done automatically before saving files or writing to the radio.
Sort by frequency Sort the memories by frequency within each bank.
Sort by name Sort the memories by name within each bank.
List duplicate frequencies Display which frequencies are duplicated elsewhere.
List memories Not in any bank Display which memories are not in any bank
Find text Find a text string in the memories grid. Case is ignored.
Find next Find the next occurence of the Find text command
Banks
Undo last bank fill/empty Undo the last bank fill/empty operation
Fill with Bank selected X's Fill the selected Bank cells with X's
Empty of Bank selected X's Empty the selected Bank cells of X's
PMS
Delete PMS memory pair Deletes the selected PMS memory pair
Settings
COM port Detector Displays a screen to detect which port your programming cable is connected to.
COM Port Allows you to select the COM port on your PC
Log read/write to rig If ticked will produce a log of reads/writes to the radio in a message window. Only use if trying to diagnose problems with reading/writing to the radio. Do not scroll/move/resize the message window while reading/writing else you will probable induce a timeout or lose data.
Enable Autosize of column widths If ticked will reduce column widths to try and keep all items on the screen
Enable User chosen column widths If ticked will activate the user chosen memories column widths. Changing the width of a column is done by placing the mouse over a vertical dividing line between two columns in the headings row and looking for the cursor to change to a pair of arrows pointing east-west, then left-clicking and dragging to resize the column. See the Save size and position command below to save your chosen column widths.
Show menu rows in alternate shades If ticked shows rows in alternate shades
Show darker grid lines When ticked will show darker grid lines.
Highlight the current memory/VFO If ticked will highlight the current row of the memory and VFO grids
Choose the memory/VFO highlight colour Enables the highlight colour to be chosen
Font size of grids
Normal 10 point
Larger 11 point
Largest 12 point
Show a taller grid height Increase the row height of the grids. This will be helpful when using touch screens.
Define Repeater rules... Displays the Repeater Rules window to enable user-customised rules for automatic setting of repeater shift direction and amount. If repeater rules are active then a tick appears to the left of the command.
Delete masked memories when reading from radio It ticked will ignore any memories that have been masked on the radio. If not ticked will accept any memories that have been masked on the radio.
Select which memory columns to show... Displays a list of columns enabling you to select which ones are displayed
Select print options... Displays a list of columns enabling you to select which ones are printed, whether to print landscape or portrait, whether to print duplex (if your printer supports it), and to select from various top margin sizes.
Choose a folder for memory and .CSV files... Displays a folder browse dialog to permit choosing which folder to use for storing memory and .CSV files.
Window position and Column Widths
Save size and position Save the size and position of the main window and the widths of the memories columns. If you have changed the width of any of the memories columns then you can keep these widths by clicking the command 'Enable User chosen column widths' on the Settings menu.
Force windows onto the primary desktop Forces all windows to appear on the desktop. If you have multiple monitors then the windows will appear on the screen that has co-ordinates 0,0 at the top left. This enables you to re-position windows that may have disappeared if the desktop configuration has changed. The keyboard shortcut for this command is Shift+Ctrl+F1
